How I work with clients

Month to month

Work runs month to month, unless you choose a committed plan.

Nothing is locked up with me

Your domain and Business Profile are registered to you, and the website and its content are yours. Analytics and Search Console I run for you are handed over, with a walkthrough, within a week if we part ways.

Approved by you first

Every change to your Business Profile or website is approved by you in writing before it goes live.

Been burned before? Here is what I will not do

  1. Promise a #1 ranking

Google says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, and tells businesses to beware of anyone who claims to. Google's advice on hiring an SEO

  2. Stuff keywords into your business name

Google says adding unnecessary information to a business name isn't permitted and could get a Business Profile suspended. Google Business Profile guidelines

  3. Buy or reward reviews

Google says reviews that are paid for or incentivised are not allowed and will be removed. Google's review policy

  4. Use a fake or virtual address

Google says a virtual office or a remote mailbox is not an eligible address for a Business Profile. Google Business Profile guidelines

  5. Buy links or join link schemes

Google names buying links as spam, and says sites that break its spam policies may rank lower or not appear in results at all. Google's spam policies

Local SEO and website services

Websites

Sites built to bring in calls and quote requests, with pages written for the services you offer and the places you cover.

Google Business Profile

Categories, services, photos and posts set up properly and kept accurate, so your profile matches your website.

Local SEO and AI answers

Service pages, listings and links from real local websites, built around what your customers search for, so what the web says about your business, including in AI answers, is consistent and current.

A plain monthly report

Calls, directions and leads against where you started, what was done that month, and what changed, in numbers you can read in a minute.

What happens after you email me

  1. 01

    See where you stand

Where you show today on search, Maps and AI answers, and who shows above you.

  2. 02

    Fix the foundations

Website, profile and listings put right, so your details match everywhere.

  3. 03

    Grow month by month

New pages, profile updates and local links, measured against calls and leads.

Why it is monthly work, not a one-off job

A website and profile set up once and left alone start falling behind from the day they launch.

Google keeps changing

Google says it ran over 700,000 experiments in 2023, leading to more than 4,000 improvements to Search. Keeping your business in step with those changes is ongoing work. Google on how it tests Search

Your profile can change without you

Anyone can suggest an edit to a Business Profile, and Google can update details from its own checks. Wrong hours or a wrong number need catching before your customers find them. Google on editing a Business Profile

Your competitors keep moving

Other businesses near you are working on the same searches. Where you show depends partly on what they do, so your position is checked every month, not once.

You deal with the owner, not an account manager

CornerWright is run by its owner from Langley, BC. The person you email is the person doing the work. The focus is businesses across the Lower Mainland, from Vancouver and Burnaby to Surrey, Langley and Abbotsford. The work happens online, so businesses elsewhere in Canada and in the US are welcome too.

Tell me what you do and where

Send your business name, your website if you have one, the areas you serve and the one service you want more of. Already working with someone? Tell me what isn't working.

What you get back

A reply within two business days with where your business shows today and whether I think I can help. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so.

What it costs

Price depends on what your business needs. I quote it in writing after we talk, before any work starts.

If a month goes down

The report says so first, with the likely reasons and what changes next month. If the numbers drop sharply, I contact you that week, not at the next report.
