Privacy policy

Who we are
CornerWright is a sole proprietorship based in Langley, British Columbia, Canada, offering local SEO, Google Business Profile and website services. This policy explains how we handle personal information on this website and in our work. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Privacy contact
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy go to our privacy contact at info@cornerwright.ca. They are responsible for how CornerWright handles personal information.
What this website collects
- No forms, accounts or tracking. This website has no contact form, no sign-up, no analytics tools, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type and the page visited, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We use this only for those purposes.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it to reply and, if you become a client, to provide our services.
If we add analytics or a contact form later, we will update this policy before doing so.
Client work and Google user data
For clients, and for Business Profiles we manage, we use a private tool that connects to Google's Business Profile APIs through Google sign-in (OAuth). The person who signs in is CornerWright's own Google account, using the permission called business.manage.
- What we access: Business Profile performance figures for profiles our account manages: profile views on Search and Maps, call button taps, website clicks and direction requests. We also read the list of profiles the account manages, to match each one to the right business.
- How we use it: only to report each business's own results back to that business and to plan our work for it. We read data only. We do not change Business Profiles through this tool.
- How we store it: as summary figures in private storage that only CornerWright can access.
- Who we share it with: only the business the profile belongs to. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or pass it to data brokers.
- Google's rules: our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
- Turning it off: a business can remove our access to its profile at any time in its Business Profile settings, and can ask us to delete the figures we hold for it. CornerWright can also revoke the tool's access from its Google Account permissions page.
Why we collect it and your consent
We collect only what we need to answer you, to provide the services a client has agreed to, and to run this website. By emailing us or engaging our services, you consent to that use. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, though we may then be unable to continue a service.
Service providers and where data is stored
We rely on a small number of providers to run the business: Vercel (website hosting), GitHub (private storage of reporting data), Google (Gmail and the Business Profile APIs) and Hostinger (email for info@cornerwright.ca). Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws there. We remain responsible for personal information that these providers handle for us.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and client records for as long as we need them to provide our services and meet legal and tax obligations, then delete them. Reporting data for a business is deleted when that business asks, or after our work with it ends and it is no longer needed.
Security
We protect information with reasonable safeguards, including access limited to CornerWright and encrypted connections. No method is perfect, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used, and ask us to correct it. Send your request in writing to info@cornerwright.ca. We will respond within 30 business days, as PIPA requires.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
